Sumartin is a small town located on the south east side of the island of Brač. In the past villager were mostly sailors, fisherman or farmers. Now, the town is a great family tourist destination. In the town there is a church, and Franciscan monastery of St. Martin. The town got its name by St. Martin, and monastery has beautiful white stone church bell tower. there are many beautiful beaches in the vicinity of the town. Along with coves, most notably beaches are Rasotica, Radovnja, Studena, Zukovik, Spilice and Zvirje. As we have already mention that in the past inhabitants were mostly farmers and fisherman, like everywhere on the island of Brač, here you will find exceptional fish specialities with home made olive oil and great red vine. It is something special and mostly healthy in this kind of food and Sumartin can offer a lot of it. There are everyday ferries from Sumartin to town Makarska on the land. So it is very easy to reach this beautiful small towns with exceptional apartments, beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea.
