Postira are know for the beaches, fish, vine and olive oil

Postira are beautiful small town on the island of Brač. Due to vicinity of the famous query of white marble, like most of the villages on the island, The town is almost exclusively built from the stone. The town has around 1500 inhabitants. The main activities are fishing, agriculture and tourism. Postira are the home of the famous fish producer called „Sardina“. But also the home for the great vine and olive oil. There are several beaches in Postira. Lovrečina beach (bay) is famous sandy beach several km far from the town. Prja is lovely beach, and also Malo and Velo Lozna. There is couple more beaches as well as the beach in the town called Porat (the port).

Good connectivity with the land

The town is very good connected with the land. There is a ferry from Split to Supetar, and Supetar is only 10 km far from the Postira. While in the town you should definitely visit already mentioned Supetar, Sutivan, Splitska, Pučišća and Povlja. But you should also find the time to pay a visit to Bol and to sea one of the most famous beaches in the world „Zlatni Rat“. It is a shame not to visit all the island of Brač because it is for sure one of the most beautiful Croatian island.
